Bald Eagle wrestler Noah Foltz has been selected as the Centre Daily Times’ Athlete of the Week for Jan. 3-8. Of 504 votes, Foltz took in 138 votes (27%).

State College ice hockey’s Alex McGuire finished second with 24% of the vote (123 votes).

Foltz began the dual meet at 189 pounds with Philipsburg-Osceola with a 15-0 technical fall over Dominic Shaw in 3:27. The Bald Eagle wrestler had four sets of nearfall points in the win. His Eagles team lost to Clearfield (32-22) on Tuesday, but bounced back with a 47-15 victory over the Mounties on Thursday.
