Who should be the Centre Daily Times Girls Athlete of the Week for April 18-23?

Here are this week’s nominees for the Centre Daily Times girls high school athlete of the week presented in alphabetical order. They were selected by the CDT sports staff via stats compiled by the CDT or sent to cdtscores@centredaily.com.

Abbigail Bigger, State College girls track and field
Bigger won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.96 in State College’s meet with Chambersburg on April 20.
Josselyn Nau, Bellefonte softball
Nau went 2-for-3 from the plate in a 6-5 victory over Montoursville on April 22. Nau pitched seven innings, allowing seven hits, five runs (two earned) and one walk while striking out five.
London Cutler, Philipsburg-Osceola softball
Cutler went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Lady Mounties in hits in their 8-0 loss to Clearfield on April 21. Philipsburg-Osceola is now 1-5 on the year.
Maddie Rottkamp, State College girls lacrosse
Rottkamp led all scorers with four goals and three assists in State College’s 21-3 victory over Selinsgrove on April 23. State College is now 5-2 on the year.
Sybil Thompson, Bald Eagle girls track and field
Thompson had the highest final placement of all Bald Eagle girls track and field team members with a fourth-place finish in the 2,000-meter steeplechase (9:17.66) on April 23.
