District playoffs are underway in Centre County. Here’s what’s happened, what’s to come

The fall sports season is drawing to a close in Centre County, and district playoffs are underway.

On Monday night, State College boys soccer boys beat Central Mountain 8-0 in the District 6 Class 4A finals at Bald Eagle Area. In Monday’s Class 2A boys soccer district semifinals, Centre County experienced mixed success — as the P-O boys beat Cambria Heights 3-2, but Penns Valley fell to Penn Cambria 2-1.

In the District 6 Class 3A girls volleyball semifinals, also Monday, host Bald Eagle Area defeated Bellefonte 3-0 to advance to Wednesday’s finals.

Girls soccer

Bellefonte vs. Hollidaysburg, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (at BEA), Class 3A district title game

State College vs. Altoona, 7 p.m. Tuesday (at Hollidaysburg), Class 4A district title game
