Here are Centre County high school wrestling highlights, leaderboards through Feb. 18

The best part of the season got underway for the five Centre County boys wrestling teams with the District 6 Championships taking place Friday and Saturday.

Bald Eagle Area (3) and State College (4) came away with the lone champions for the county. However, every team has at least three regional qualifiers.

Penns Valley has the most with nine and the Little Lions and Eagles each have seven a piece.

Bellefonte pushed four through to the PIAA Class 2A Southwest Regional as Philipsburg-Osceola has three.

The Lady Mounties, BEA and State College girls teams have their posteason get underway on Feb. 24 at the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. It will be the first action for any of the schools since earlier this month.
