Eighteen Centre County boys wrestlers placed high enough in regionals this past weekend to advance to the state championships in Hershey starting today.

Meanwhile, six Centre County girls wrestlers competed in the Central Regional on Saturday, but only one placed high enough to qualify for the state championships.

Here are the highlights from local games covered from Feb. 26 through March 4 by After the Whistle, the high school sports coverage team at Penn State’s Bellisario College of Communications. (Please note that After the Whistle will take next week off for spring break, so the next digest will be published March 19.)
