Bellefonte softball remained hot early in the season with a 7-1 win Monday over Bishop Guilfoyle, thanks to a star performance from pitcher Abby Herr. George Mason commit Derrick Campbell also helped lead State College boys volleyball to a dominant sweep last Thursday over Altoona.

Here are the highlights from local games covered from March 26 through April 1 by After the Whistle, the high school sports coverage team at Penn State’s Bellisario College.

The Eagles are still searching for their first win at home and will have a chance to do so on Monday when they host Jersey Shore.
