State College to face Erie McDowell in PIAA playoffs

The State College football team is set to take on Erie McDowell in the first round of the PIAA Class AAAA tournament.

McDowell beat Brashear 42-2 in the District 8-10 final Friday night. The Little Lions (8-3) and Trojans (7-5) will play their first-round game next Friday or Saturday at a site and time to be determined.

State College beat McDowell 27-6 in the first round of the PIAA playoffs last year.
