Led by four scorers in double digits, Tyrone had little trouble with Philipsburg-Osceola on Tuesday night, earning a 79-54 win.
In its first game of the season, P-O was paced by Haylee Hayward and Halle Harrington, both of whom tallied 23 points apiece. Hayward sank six field goals and converted 9 of 10 free-throw attempts.
However, Tyrone’s Finnley Christine and Kasey Engle, along with Alexis Cannistraci and Emily Lehman, was too much for the Lady Mounties. Christine and Engle finished with 20 and 22, respectively, while Cannistraci (10) and Lehman (13) contributed double digits.
The Lady Mounties take the floor next when they host Bald Eagle Area on Friday.
