Clearfield’s Myers burns Bellefonte, leads Bison to win
Coming into its Tuesday night matchup with Clearfield, the Bellefonte boys’ basketball team knew it had to target Bison star Will Myers.
Coach Darin Hazel admitted that his Red Raiders could have been more successful against him throughout the game.
Myers hit five 3-pointers and led all players with 20 points to lead the Bison past the Raiders 44-30.
“A player like that, you can’t give him easy looks,” Hazel said.
The Raiders fell behind 18-5 after the first quarter. Hazel implored his team to remain confident.
“I thought we were better than what we played in the first quarter,” Hazel said.
The Raiders managed to stop the flooding for the remainder of the contest, being outscored by only one point through the remaining three quarters.
Bellefonte’s next game is Friday at home against Philipsburg-Osceola.
