Penns Valley falls to Bishop Guilfoyle in girls’ basketball

Penns Valley fell 57-30 to Bishop Guilfoyle on Wednesday night.

The No. 4 Class A team in the state, according to Pennlive.com’s weekly poll, raced to a 29-7 lead by halftime to domiante the game.

Maci Ilgen and Jordan Andrus led Penns Valley with nine and seven points, respectively.

“I am very pleased with the way Jordan played tonight,” coach Karen McCaffery said. “She was aggressive, good on the boards and finished her shots.”

Ryley Lewis and Lili Benzel netted 16 points apiece to pace the Marauders.

Penns Valley (5-2) will host Mifflinburg on Monday in the Ram Winter Jam.
