Foul shooting dooms BEA girls’ basketball in loss

Bald Eagle Area was 1 for 19 from the foul line in a 53-40 loss to Clearfield on Tuesday.

“We started out slow in the first half but outplayed in the second half,” said BEA coach Jim Josefik, whose team trailed 30-10 at intermission. “We shot 62 (percent from the field) in the second half”

Alyssa Ward led the Lady Eagles, who host Tyrone on Friday, with 14 points, including four 3-pointers.
