State College’s Valentine wins 3 events at invitational

State College’s Kellin Valentine won three events at the State College Invitational on Thursday.

Valentine finished first in the 200-meter race with a time of 23.1, followed by Noah Osterling (23.4) and Aziz Salamy (23.9). Valentine also won the long jump (22-10.75) and triple jump (44-0).

State College’s Tristan Daman won the 60 (6.8), and Osterling finished first in the 400 (51.7). State College had the top three finishers in the 800 as Nick Feffer took first (2:03.7), followed by Owen Wing (2:07.4) and Tony Degleris (2:09.1).

State College teammates Griffin Thompson and Lucas Gray tied for first in the pole vault (14-2). Shaquan Graham was third in the high jump (5-6), and Erik Ebel was third in the shot put (48-10.5).

Bellefonte’s Bryce Steiner took third in the 60-meter hurdles (9.0)

Kaelan Wright of St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy finished third in the mile (4:58.2). Eli Urban was third in the 3,000 (9:42.4) for St. Joe’s.
