Lady Mounties’ team effort leads them to win on court
All of Philipsburg-Osceola’s starters scored in double figures in an 80-51 victory over West Branch in girls’ basketball on Monday.
“It was great team effort that all five girls ended up with double digits,” P-O coach Doug Myers said. “They played really hard, the entire game was a team effort.”
Cheyanne Cowfer, who played her first game after missing three weeks due to illness, hit six 3-pointers to score 18 points. Halle Herrington finished with a game-high 19 points for the Lady Mounties.
Lacey Potter had 10 points and 14 rebounds. Haylee Hayward and Cheyenne Bone added 16 and 12 points, respectively, for Philipsburg-Osceola.
The Lady Mounties (4-6) will host Clearfield on Wednesday.
