Penns Valley edges Juniata Valley in girls’ basketball

Kourtney Beamesderfer scored a game-high 15 points in Penns Valley’s 48-43 victory over Juniata Valley on Monday.

“This was a big night for Kourtney,” said Penns Valley coach Karen McCaffrey.

Beamesderfer scored 12 points in the second half, including going 6 for 6 from the line in a tight fourth quarter. She and Karli Ripka also added four assists.

Maci Ilgen added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Rams.

Penns Valley (9-3) will host Tyrone on Wednesday.
