State College wrestling falls to Altoona

With a run of wins in six of seven bouts, Altoona got the best of State College 43-34 Wednesday night.

With the meet starting at 170 pounds, the teams traded pins through the first four bouts, then the Mountain Lions took the lead for good with a pin at heavyweight and two wins by forfeit among the first four lightweight bouts in extending the lead.

Cory Dreibelbiss, Pete Haffer, Dalton Barger and Ian Barr all earned wins by fall for the Little Lions (4-8), with Brett Fields adding a major decision. Adam Stover added a forfeit win.
