State College indoor girls’ track has strong showing at invitational
State College was well represented at the Dickinson Invitational with place-winners in eight events.
Rachel Wylie led all Lady Little Lions with a first-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.85 seconds. Teammate Jordi Rohrbach finished third in 9.16.
Wylie was also on the third-place 1,600-meter relay team, along with Rohrbach, Zoe Wicks and Natasha Fedkina. Fedkina and Catherine Curtain led the distance runners with a second-place finishes in the 800 and 1,600, respectively.
Veronika Karpenko was second in triple jump and Hannah Yoder was sixth in the high jump. Jordan Bair and Jackie Horner finished third and fourth, respectively, in the shot put.
State College will compete in Penn State’s Kevin Dare Invitational on Saturday.
