Lady Wolves basketball falls to Belleville Mennonite

Unable to keep pace in the first half, St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy lost to Belleville Mennonite 41-33 on Thursday.

The Lady Wolves, despite posting 19 second-half points, were outscored by Belleville Mennonite 26-14 in the opening two quarters.

SJCA was led by Aubrey Weiss’ 10 points, followed by Janina Romero, who had seven. Belleville Mennonite had a pair of double-digit scorers, as Grace and Alexis Peachey scored 15 and 13 points, respectively.

The Lady Wolves (2-13) play Bald Eagle Area on Tuesday.
