Lady Rams rally past Lady Mounties
Penns Valley rallied from a halftime deficit and pulled away over the final minutes for a 48-38 win over Philipsburg-Osceola on Friday night.
The game was knotted 38-38 with 2:21 left, setting up a 10-0 run for the Lady Rams to close the game. They were 8 for 9 from the foul line over that stretch, including a 6 for 6 showing by Karli Ripka.
“It was a good game, a close game,” Lady Mounties coach Doug Myers said. “We had to foul them at the end and they made their foul shots.”
Maci Ilgen led all scorers with 20 points for Penns Valley, and Ripka added seven points, all from the foul line.
Haylee Hayward’s 17 points, Halle Herrington’s nine points and Lacey Potter’s nine points and 10 rebounds led the Lady Mounties (6-9).
