State College tops Central Dauphin in girls’ basketball

Senior Kyla Irwin scored 26 points for State College in a 53-48 victory over Central Dauphin on Friday.

Irwin was 11 for 14 from the foul line in the win. The Lady Little Lions finished 18 for 24. Central Dauphin was 5 for 9 from the line.

“The girls finally found their comfort zome late in the game and that was all from our defense,” State College coach Bethany Irwin said. “Foul shots also really helped us down the line.”

State College (11-3, 6-3 Mid Penn) will host Mifflin County on Monday.
