State College rolls past Mifflin County in girls’ basketball

All but one of State College’s starters scored in double figures in a 64-45 victory over Mifflin County on Monday.

“It was great to have our starters all scoring, they really distributed the ball to get balanced scoring,” said Lady Little Lion coach Bethany Irwin.

State College’s Kyla Irwin led all scorers with 26 points. Teammate Abby Allen had a season-high 10 points, while Jess Orndorff and Kayla Hawbaker scored 14 and 11, respectively.

The team also hit a season-high seven 3-pointers.

State College (12-3) will travel to Chambersburg on Tuesday.
