Penns Valley beats Central in boys’ basketball

Ben Alexander scored 16 points to lead the Penns Valley boys’ basketball team to a 52-39 win over Central on Tuesday.

Penns Valley took a 19-10 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

“I thought our guys played exceptionally good defense and were able to get off to a great start,” Penns Valley coach Terry Glunt said.

Alexander went 6 for 7 from the field, part of an efficient shooting night for the Rams. Zach Engle scored 12 points and Andrew Tobias added 10.

Penns Valley hosts St. Joseph’s on Thursday.
