Fast start lifts St. Joseph’s girls’ basketball

St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy was off to a fast start and never looked back in a 45-38 victory over Cowanesque Valley on Friday.

The Lady Wolves scored 18 points in the first quarter while keeping CV to only four.

“We started quick with a 4-0 start and the other team called a timeout, and I was just really pleased with how they understood the game.” St. Joe’s coach Brenna O’Connor said.

Asara Clark and Bella Bassett led the team with 13 and nine points, respectively.

St. Joseph’s will host Harrisburg Academy on Saturday for Senior Night.
