Beattie brothers pace St. Joseph’s to win
Stephen and Shawn Beattie combined for 49 points in a St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy boys’ basketball 92-52 win over Harrisburg Academy on Saturday.
Stephen Beattie notched a team-high 31 points, while his brother tallied 18.
The Wolves, especially the Beattie brothers, were effective from behind the arc. SJCA recorded 13 3-pointers, 12 of which came from the duo. Stephen and Shawn Beattie had eight and four 3-pointers, respectively.
The Wolves started off hot, outscoring the Spartans 56-33 at halftime. SJCA finished the game off by holding Harrisburg Academy to just 19 total points in the final two quarters.
SJCA also had notable contributions outside of the Beattie brothers. Mikey Kresovich, Jack Mangene and Rocky Chirieleison had nine, eight and seven points, respectively.
The Wolves (11-8) travel to Huntingdon on Monday.
