Bellefonte bowling advances to regionals

The Red Raiders finished first in the Eastern Regional Qualifier at Bowl-O-Rama Lanes on Saturday.

With the performance, Bellefonte advanced to regionals, which takes place in March with a bid to the state tournament on the line.

The Red Raiders scored a 3,342, followed by Hazelton’s 3,254 and Mifflin County’s 3,181.

Individually, Bellefonte’s Darren Heeman finished first out of 27 competitors, rolling a combined 930 in four games. His teammate, Jarret Horner, came in fourth with a 795. Both advanced to regional singles play.
