Penns Valley tops Clearfield in girls’ basketball

Penns Valley defeated Clearfield 59-35 in the last home game for seniors Karli Ripka and Mackenzie Ironside, both four-year starters for the Lady Rams.

“I can’t imagine coaching another game without them,” Lady Rams coach Karen McCaffrey said. “Both had outstanding careers at Penns Valley.”

Maci Ilgen led the Lady Rams with 21 points. Ripka had seven points, and Ironside added five.

Clearfield’s Rachel Glenny had 10 points.

Penns Valley (16-4) travels to Tyrone Friday.
