Clearfield makes 4th-quarter comeback to beat Penns Valley
Clearfield refused to let Penns Valley spoil its Senior Night on Wednesday, making a fourth-quarter comeback to beat the Rams 44-37.
The Rams led 33-28 to start the fourth quarter, but the Bison outscored them 16-4 in the final period to earn the win.
“It was a great game and we were tied with a minute to go but Tommy Hazel hit a big 3 for them, and we had to start fouling to try and get a steal,” Penns Valley coach Terry Glunt said. “The guys played really well but didn’t shoot well in the fourth.”
Ben Alexander and Logan Pearce led the Rams with 16 and 11 points, respectively.
Hazel led Clearfield with 18.
Penns Valley will host Tyrone on Friday.
