State College’s comeback falls short in loss to Williamsport

Drew Friberg spurred a furious comeback effort, but it fell just short in a 71-69 loss to Williamsport on Friday night to close the regular season.

Friberg scored 14 of his 21 points in the final eight minutes, including an 11 for 13 showing from the foul line in the quarter, as the Little Lions (12-10) rallied from a 13-point deficit to start the quarter.

Brandon Clark added 18 points and Tommy Sekunda netted 10.

Nyric Gosley’s 18 points paced the Millionaires, followed by 15 from Stanley Scott and 12 each from Isaiah Hankins and Qayyim Ali.
