Valentine, Milligan lead Little Lions at track and field meet
Kellin Valentine and Alex Milligan picked up wins Saturday to lead State College in the Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association Track Carnival at Lehigh’s Philip Rauch Fieldhouse.
Valentine won the long jump at 23 feet, 1 3/4 inches, and Milligan captured the top time in the mile at 4 minutes, 26.60 seconds.
The distance medley relay team of Owen Wing, Joey Feffer, Tony Degleris and Nick Feffer finished second in 10:39.92, and the 1,600 relay team of Craig Hilliard, Joey Feffer, Nick Feffer and Aziz Salamy was clocked in 3:35.08 to take third.
Other top-10 finishes included Griffin Thompson (fourth, pole vault), Degleris (fourth, 800), Erik Ebel (fifth, shot put), 3,200 relay (sixth) and Shaquan Graham (ninth, high jump).
Also, the 3,200 relay team of Joey Feffer, Nick Feffer, Degleris and Milligan has been invited to the Millrose Games, which will be held next weekend at the New York Armory.
