Bair breaks State College record in shot put

Veronika Karpenko picked up the lone win and Jordan Bair broke the school record in the shot put as State College competed in the Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association Track Carnival at Lehigh’s Philip Rauch Fieldhouse.

Bair turned in a top throw of 39 feet, 11 1/4 inches to finish third in the shot put.

Karpenko had the top mark in the long jump for her win at 18-10 1/4.

Also posting top-10 finishes were Rachel Wylie, who was seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (9.34), Jordi Rohrbach, who was ninth in the 800 (2:24.57) and the distance medley relay team, which was seventh in 12:58.13.
