State College’s Irwin, Friberg earn first-team all-league honors

State College basketball players Kyla Irwin and Drew Friberg were both named Mid Penn Conference Commonwealth Division First-Team All-Stars on Friday.

In addition to Irwin, Central Dauphin’s Tori Lesko, Harrisburg’s Tysha Brown, Cumberland Valley’s Katie Jekot and Cumberland Valley’s Kelly Jekot were first-team girls selections.

State College’s Kayla Hawbaker earned honorable mention honors.

Friberg was joined by Carlisle’s Deshawn Millington, Harrisburg’s Chris Whitaker, Carlisle’s Jordan Purcell, Chambersburg’s Cole Christian on the boys first team.

State College’s Tommy Sekunda picked up honorable mention honors.
