Tobias Van Dyke is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week

State College swimmer Tobias Van Dyke is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Van Dyke won two individual events at the District 6 swimming championships over the weekend.

He set a record with a time of 4:36.06 to win the 500 freestyle. The previous record of 4:39.64 was set in 2006 by State College’s Ben Ryan. He also took first in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.16.

The State College boys’ team won the Class AAA title.
