Local pair picked for all-star basketball games

Two Centre County athletes have been selected for the Altoona Mirror Basketball Classic all-star game.

Penns Valley’s Zach Engle will play for the Central Pennsylvania boys’ team and State College’s Kyla Irwin will be a member of the Central Pennsylvania girls’ team. The 11th annual classic pits a team of all-star seniors from Blair County high schools against players from schools across the region.

The girls’ game will tip at 6:30 p.m., with the boys at 8:15 p.m., on April 1 at Mount Aloysius College.
