Penns Valley earns 2 track wins in opener

Penns Valley opened its season with a pair of victories Tuesday afternoon, dropping Philipsburg-Osceola 87-63 and swamping Huntingdon 131-13.

The Rams won every event head-to-head with the Bearcats, while Ethan Stroup was a double winner against the Mounties by taking the shot put and discus.

For the Mounties, Nick Patrick was a triple winner, capturing first in the 800-meter run, triple jump and pole vault. Kyle Albert added wins in the 1,600 and 3,200, and Peyton Moore took the 110 and 300 hurdle races.
