Bellefonte splits track opener at Bald Eagle Area

Bellefonte split a pair of tight meets Tuesday to open the season, dropping Bald Eagle Area 94-56 but falling 75-74 to Central.

Head-to-head against the Eagles, Michael O’Donnell took the 800- and 1,600-meter runs, plus helped two relay teams to victories, while Bryce Steiner was first in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles. Moryelle Fernandez was tops in the long and triple jumps.

Mike Salvanish won the shot put and discus for BEA.
