Kling delivers in State College softball’s win

Andrea Kling went 4 for 5 and drove in eight runs to lead State College to a 15-10 win over Cedar Cliff on Thursday.

Kling hit a grand slam to highlight her big day at the plate.

Alyssa Shedlock finished 3 for 4 and scored four runs for the Lady Little Lions, who led 11-1 going to the bottom of the fifth inning. State College’s Kayla Hawbaker, Abby Allen and freshman Addie Wasikonis each finished with two hits.

State College starting pitcher Hannah Shields recorded 11 strikeouts in a complete game to earn the win. Shields allowed five runs (two earned) and eight hits.

Cedar Cliff’s Tiffany White hit a home run, and Alexis Roddery had two home runs.
