State College edges Hershey in boys’ tennis

State College singles players made the difference in a 3-2 victory over Hershey on Friday.

“This was a big win for the guys as Hershey is a very solid team,” Little Lion coach Jane Borden said.

State College’s Matt Wherley defeated Dante Falcucci 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. Little Lions teammate Nick Vanden beat Jacob Jastrezebski 6-3, 6-4, and State College’s Fernando del Castillo was equally dominant with 6-1, 6-1 win over JT Mullins.

State College (7-0) will travel to Red Land on Monday.
