State College finished fourth in the Koller Classic on Saturday, falling to Parkland 21-11 in the semifinals.
The Little Lions fell to York Suburban (6-21, 22-23) and split with Pennsbury (21-14, 19-21), Derry (11-21, 21-19), and Cumberland Valley (23-22, 14-21). They beat Cambridge Springs 16-14 in the first round of playoffs before the loss to Parkland.
“It was a rough day for us and we didn’t get what we needed out of the tournament,” Little Lion coach Kim-Li Kimel.
Brandon Kuruzovich led the team with a total five aces, three blocks, and 49 assists. Teammate Scott Tillotson had 31 kills and Jacob Whipple added 13.
