By winning all but two events, and turning in a couple of the state’s top performances, the State College boys’ track and field team easily outdistanced Carlisle 123-27 Tuesday at South Track Field.

Griffin Thompson bettered his own state-leading pole vault mark by clearing 15 feet, 6 inches while the 3,200-meter relay team checked in with a time of 8 minutes, 5.4 seconds.

Also, Erik Ebel was a triple winner, taking the shot put (50-4  1/2), discus (159-2) and javelin (179-5). Brandon Clark was first in both the long jump (19-7) and triple jump (43-3  1/2), Tristan Daman took both the 100 (11.1) and 200 (23.0), and Alex Milligan won the 800 (2:06.0) and 1,600 (4:34.2).

Noah Osterling (400), Matt Balogh (3,200) and Aziz Salamy (300 hurdles), along with the 400 and 1,600 relay teams, also won for the Little Lions.
