Bellefonte softball falls to Jersey Shore

Even with a home run, Tara Baney and the Lady Red Raiders couldn’t hold off Jersey Shore on Saturday falling 6-2.

Baney was the losing pitcher, tossing seven innings, allowing five earned runs and striking out nine.

Baney’s solo home run and an RBI base hit from Rianna Trexler produced Bellefonte’s lone runs.

Jessica Willits had a solo home run for the Lady Bulldogs, as Shelbie Wenner and Olivia Hauser led the way for Jersey Shore with two RBIs each.

Bellefonte plays Penns Valley on Monday.
