Weather washes out local high school games

The high school sports schedule saw more postponements on Friday thanks to Mother Nature.

Due to “swamp-like field conditions," according to Penns Valley Athletic Director Nate Althouse, the Rams’ baseball game against Philipsburg-Osceola has been moved to Tuesday. Also, Clearfield at Bellefonte is reset to May 11 while the Central at Bald Eagle Area game does not have a makeup date yet.

Bellefonte’s softball game at Clearfield is reset for May 17, and junior high softball games for Mount Nittany at DuBois and Park Forest at Mifflin County also are wiped out.

Bald Eagle Area’s softball games against Jersey Shore on Saturday have been wiped out.
