State College softball rolls to win over Carlisle

State College scored 13 runs in the first two innings and cruised to a 14-3 win over Carlisle in five innings Thursday.

Kayla Hawbaker went 3 for 4 and scored two runs, and Addie Wasikonis went 2 for 2, scored twice and drove in three runs to lead the Lady Little Lions, who broke the game open with a nine-run second inning.

Andrea Kling also had two hits and two RBIs, and Jenna Peterson scored twice and drove in two runs for State College.

State College’s Hannah Shields allowed three runs (one earned) and struck out five to earn the win.
