State College tops Central Dauphin East in boys’ volleyball

Gabe Avillion finished with 19 kills, 11 digs and three blocks to lead State College to a 25-20, 25-19, 25-15 win over Central Dauphin East on Thursday.

The Little Lions will take a 5-7 record into postseason play.

“We really needed to end the season moving in the right direction,” State College coach Kim-Li Kimel said.

Brandon Kuruzovich had 17 assists and three aces for the Little Lions, and Noah Christie finished with 18 digs.
