State College softball falls short against Cumberland Valley

Cumberland Valley scored six runs in the first two innings in an 8-5 victory over State College on Tuesday.

Lady Eagle Katie Winget was part of Cumberland Valley’s early success, hitting a three-run home run. Teammate Kelcey Osterling added a triple.

Lady Little Lion losing pitcher Jen Hanshaw struck out four and walked five in six innings.

State College will travel to Mifflin County on Thursday.
