Tyrone rallies past Bald Eagle Area in baseball
Bald Eagle Area scored four runs in the seventh inning to take a two-run lead, but Tyrone answered with three runs to earn a 7-6 victory Tuesday.
Tyrone’s winning run scored on a walk-off single from Anthony Politza.
“We had a nice comeback in the seventh inning, but Tyrone wasn’t willing to go away with a loss on their Senior Night,” BEA coach Jim Gardner said.
The Eagles finished with 14 hits. Trey Butterworth was 3 for 4 with a triple. Caleb Bell and Luke Josefick both had doubles, while Noah Chambers and Andrew Swabick finished with three and two hits, respectively.
BEA (11-6) travels to Jersey Shore on Wednesday.
