PIAA matchups set for county softball, baseball teams

Sites and times have been set for the first round of the PIAA softball and baseball tournaments.

In softball, District 6 champion Philipsburg-Osceola will take on District 7 third-place finisher Steel Valley in Class AA at 7 p.m. Monday at Penn State’s Beard Field. Also in Class AA, District 6 runner-up Bald Eagle Area will take on the District 7 champion Ellwood City at 2 p.m. Monday at North Allegheny High School.

In Class AAA softball, District 6 champion Bellefonte will face District 7 champion Mt. Pleasant at 4 p.m. Monday at North Allegheny.

In Class AAA baseball, District 6 champion Bellefonte is set to take on District 7 champion Chartiers Valley at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Seneca Valley High School.
