State College girls’ golf finishes 1st at Wildcat Open

State College girls’ golf finished first at the Wildcat Open Invitational on Monday, hosted by Homer-Center and played at Tom’s Run Golf Course.

The Lady Little Lions had a team total of 269, while second-place Philipsburg-Osceola tallied a 307.

For State College, three golfers placed in the top-five. Freshman Alex Voight-Shelley (78) was the medalist, Kaylee Richards (92) was second, and Maddie Czekaj (99) came in fifth.

The Lady Little Lions next hit the links on Wednesday at Scotch Valley Country Club in Hollidaysburg.
