State College tops Chambersburg in girls’ tennis

The State College girls’ tennis team rolled to a 5-0 win over Chambersburg on Wednesday.

In singles play, Kelly Vanden, Laura Guay and Shannon Steel each won their matches in straight sets for the Lady Little Lions.

State College duo Maggie Jaenicke and Jasmine Cao beat Chambersburg’s Kara Wiley and Kaylin Shearer 6-0, 6-1 in doubles. In the other doubles match, Lady Little Lions pair Betsy Driscoll and Caroline Kranich defeated Caroline Hance and Cally Pepoutsis 6-2, 6-2.
