State College edges Cumberland Valley in girls’ tennis

The State College girls’ tennis team swept doubles play and edged Cumberland Valley 3-2 on Tuesday.

Lady Little Lions pair Maggie Jaenicke and Jasmine Cao defeated Lauren Noss and Alyson Graham 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, State College duo Caroline Kranich and Betsy Driscoll beat Caroline George and Pranava Mallu 6-2, 7-5.

State College’s Kelly Vanden defeated Maizie Ober 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles.

The Lady Little Lions (3-1) host Northern on Thursday.
