State College girls’ golfer Alex Voight-Shelley earns CDT’s Athlete of the Week honor

State College’s Alex Voight-Shelley is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Voight-Shelley captured the District 6 Class AAA girls’ golf individual title last Tuesday, shooting a 167 to win by 22 strokes at Summit Country Club.

Voight-Shelley’s performance led the Lady Little Lions to the district team title as they finished with a score of 796 to beat Hollidaysburg’s 974.

Voight-Shelley will compete at the PIAA West Regional on Monday.
