Philipsburg-Osceola boys’ golfer Carter Fischer named CDT’s Athlete of the Week

Philipsburg-Osceola’s Carter Fischer is a Centre Daily Times Athlete of the Week.

Fischer carded a team-best 75 in the Mounties boys’ golf team’s 345-367 win over Rockwood in the District 5-6 Class AA Sub-Regional at Sunnehanna Country Club last Thursday.

With the win, Philipsburg-Osceola earned a spot in the PIAA Championships. The state tournament will be Oct. 26 at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York.
